The Lead, AI Enablement Office is responsible for translating TSS’s AI strategy into measurable business outcomes. The role owns AI portfolio prioritization, funding alignment, adoption, and benefits realization across Finance, HR, Procurement, Security, and IT, while orchestrating execution across AI Governance, AI Delivery Factory, IT Platform, and Business Tribes.
About the Role
Telenor Shared Services (TSS) is on a journey to become an AI‑native shared services organization by 2028. The AI Enablement Office is a central function established to ensure AI investments convert into real, scalable business value.
The Lead, AI Enablement Office plays a pivotal role in driving this transformation by ensuring AI initiatives are strategically aligned, properly funded, widely adopted, and deliver tangible, tracked benefits.
This role does not focus on hands‑on AI development. Instead, it provides portfolio‑level ownership, orchestration, and value assurance across the AI ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy Execution & Portfolio Ownership
Translate AI ambition and roadmaps into a prioritized, outcome‑driven AI portfolio
Own portfolio prioritization, sequencing, and funding allocation
Ensure alignment with Telenor 4.0 and functional transformation priorities
Adoption, Change & Business Value
Define and drive AI adoption playbooks across TSS and Business Units
Partner with business owners on process redesign, operating model changes, and role impacts
Own benefits tracking and value realization, ensuring outcomes are measurable and reported
Cross‑Functional Orchestration
Act as the primary interface between:
AI Governance Office (risk, controls, Safe‑to‑Ship approvals)
AI Delivery Factory (build, test, release)
Setup of IT Platform & Operations (AI platform, SLOs, access)
Business Tribes and Functions (use case ownership and adoption)
Funding, Capacity & Capability Building
Shape AI business cases and investment proposals
Identify capability gaps and support hiring and upskilling initiatives
Leverage near‑shore teams, partners, and shared services to scale execution
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Provide executive‑level visibility on AI progress, risks, and value realization
Support leadership forums and SteerCo discussions with clear, outcome‑focused insights
Act as an ambassador for AI‑native ways of working across TSS
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
Experience
10+ years of experience in digital transformation, IT, or business transformation roles
3-5 years of experience in data governance and data analytics
Proven experience managing portfolio‑level initiatives (AI, data, automation, or platforms)
Strong background in operating model design, change management, and value realization
Experience working with senior leadership and executive governance forums
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of AI / GenAI value chains and adoption challenges
AI & Intelligence: Agentic RAG Architecture, Real-time Classifications etc.
Good understanding on Governance & Compliance related to AI
Experience Data Architecture, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI) among others
Ability to operate at strategic, tactical, and execution levels
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Comfortable working in complex, matrix organizations
Basic security authorization is required
