We are now looking for a Senior Content Acquisition Manager to join our Nordic Content Acquisition Team. In this role, you will be at the center of shaping our content strategy and strengthening our partnerships across markets. You will report to VP Head of Nordic Content Acquisition in Nordic TV & Entertainment.
What you will do
As a Senior Content Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in securing and developing our content portfolio across the Nordics. You will collaborate closely with commercial, product, legal and technology teams to ensure we deliver competitive, future-proof offerings.
Your responsibilities will include:
Driving content negotiation processes and developing distribution agreements with key broadcasters
Securing content rights and commercial terms supporting strategic business objectives across the Nordic markets
Identifying opportunities for increased contractual flexibility in areas such as OTT distribution, streaming rights, packaging models, metadata usage, cloud recording, and future platform development
Translating commercial, legal, technical, and product requirements into robust agreements
Acting as a key account manager for selected broadcasters and building strong, long-term partnerships
Providing business analysis, insights, and decision support throughout the negotiation lifecycle
Collaborating closely with product, legal, technology, finance and local market teams across Nordic business units to maximize the value of our content portfolio
Supporting commercial teams in driving growth through strong content partnerships
Contributing to business development initiatives within TV & Entertainment
Who you are
You combine strong commercial acumen with a collaborative mindset and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You are both analytical and pragmatic, and you thrive in a dynamic, cross-Nordic setup.
We believe you have:
A minimum of 6–8 years of relevant experience, ideally within media, telecom, or digital platforms
Solid experience in negotiations and partnership management
Strong analytical and business understanding - able to connect content investments to customer value, churn, ARPU, and profitability
Knowledge of content licensing models, OTT services, and the evolving media landscape is of advantage
Experience working in cross-functional and matrix organizations
A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to balance different interests, both internally and externally
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without formal authority
A calm and collected personality and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language

Location: Any Telenor office in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki or Copenhagen
Some travel within the Nordic region is expected
